I am a believer in following passions, which often results in living outside of what man views as a normal job or career choice.
Before each of us was created, God artfully planned the special gifts He equipped us with. All of us that believe have the gift of hearing His voice through extraordinary means (His written word, vocal – through others, and through the Spirit). Each of us are also given individual (talent-filled) gifts such as speaking, writing, singing, the ability to help others, and leadership. The list of gifts is endless.
God wants his born again children to prosper through growth. What support we have! Why else would he have given us distinct gifts?
When I receive a gift I want to use it to the best of its purpose, rather than let it sit on a shelf collecting dust. Why not allow my personal gift(s) to abound and become a part of God’s ultimate plan?
Why not douse the fire of fear, which so often holds us back from living in His plan, with the living water that He provides for our survival?
Why not shut our eyes to what the world wants, enabling us to live outside of earthly conformity?
Prosperity has so many faces, one of which is richness of the soul. You’ve heard the common phrase (money that cannot follow a person into death), “I can’t take it with me.” Prosperity in the bank – no you cannot take it with you, wealthy in the soul – yes, you can. There is one simple reason we have for this fortune, love. Love from Him, love of Him, the love that brings us to want to please Him.
Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect. (Romans 12:2 ESV)
